Why survey?
Periodically during the lifetime of the structure in accordance with the type of use thereof in accordance with the regulatory enactments and standards governing the technical maintenance of structures.
Prior to the restoration of a structure or part thereof, to the development of a construction project for rebuilding or restoration, also prior to the preparation of a construction design in minimal composition or to documents for simplified facade renovation, to determine the extent of structural damage and compliance with the purpose of construction and
before the resume (after a break).
In other cases where the technical condition of the structure has to be determined.
Who carries out the survey?
Structures are inspected by a construction specialist in accordance with the competence of a construction specialist specified in the regulatory enactment for assessment of competence of construction specialists and supervision of independent practice or a legal person registered in the Register of Construction Merchants, who employs the relevant construction specialist (hereinafter – surveyor). The surveyor has a duty to conduct the survey in a qualitative manner
What is being surveyed?
The basis of inspection is the inspection of the structure, during which visible damage of the structure is recorded and evaluated. Photographic fixation materials made during the inspection shall be appended to the technical inspection opinion (hereinafter – opinion). The conditions of the survey, the rights and obligations of the building owner and the surveyor shall be determined by mutual agreement between the building owner and the surveyor. An inspection task is an integral part of the contract.
